JUNIORS

Stonyholme Golf Club has a junior section that plays in the Northern County Junior Division. Team members range in age from 11 years old to18 years old. We play ten league matches a season, which is usually between May to August,as well as friendly fixtures. The junior team and members section also get to play in the clubs weekly competitions that are run most weekends all year round, giving them a regular opportunity to get their handicap down as a club member.

The juniors also enjoy free coaching from the resident PGA Professional. They also have the chance to play in junior competitions that usually run throughout the school holiday periods, giving them something to do with their time.

All junior organisers have CRB certification and the section is run with the utmost care and understanding of the members with their age taken into consideration.

The section is fun to be part of, as well as being serious when it comes to playing the game as we already have three members that have played for and represented Cumbria County.

The section is also working to achieve Clubmark, which is the only accredited association you can achieve with the English Golf Union for a junior club members and will insure that we have all the backing and guidance that the EGU can offer.

Junior membership is £10 for the year and a season ticket to play the course is £60 for the year.

All are welcome at the club, so please, if you want to play golf and you are under eighteen years of age, then Stonyholme juniors are here waiting for you to join.
